Welcome Message

After the resounding success of the Emirates Diabetes Congress held last year, we now plan to make this an annual event. Hence, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Emirates Endocrine Congress 2010 (EEC 2010), which will be he held from 14th – 16th December 2010 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This congress, which is accredited by the UAE University and the Dubai Health Authority, is already generating huge interest from physicians across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

It is with great honour and delight we announce that the Emirates Diabetes Society will be partnering with H.H. Shiekh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in this year’s Emirates Endocrine Congress 2010. H.H. Shiekh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Science is the world’s most premiums Medical Science Award that recognise excellence in the field of health care and research. Over the past years, number of doctors from various filed of medicine have been honored by the award.

The objective of EEC 2010 is to bring together regional and international healthcare providers from different specialties, creating an opportunity to share the most recent developments in diabetes management. We also look forward to include and expand upon current topics in Endocrinology, as there is a high prevalence of endocrine disorders in this region. Aside from diabetes, we also notice a rise in other endocrine disorders, such as thyroid disease and PCOS. Hence, it is vital that physicians obtain up-to-date information on current research and findings in this field of medicine.

With its rich scientific program and internationally renowned faculty, this congress will present a valuable and unique opportunity to increase awareness in, and advance the education of diabetes-related diseases in this part of the world. The topics in the meeting will be covering the different aspects of epidemiology and management of diabetes, with a specific focus on cutting edge information and the results of recent developments in this field.

We expect the EEC 2010 to provide you with the right platform to develop your professional expertise and a forum to exchange knowledge. We also hope it will give you the opportunity to meet other professionals and develop relations with fellow colleagues.
